What did we win?
Best E-Learning Project
Things To Come for The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, is our prototype whiteboard interactive. It’s a great example of how kids in classrooms can connect with Orchestral music in a far more engaging and educational way using technology. Things To Come, the proptype, was conceived with the RLP, with the aim of securing development sponsorship to evolve a fully fledged product.

Things to Come has already won 2 BIMAs (British Interactive Media Awards – the largest UK awards ceremony of its kind) winning both ‘Best Offline CD-Rom’ and ‘Special Award for Sound Design’, plus being nominated for a third. Find out more here

Best Application of Technology
Nosey Parker is our first iPhone application. Unique at it’s time of launch this App quickly rose up the charts and hit number 20 in the UK iTunes App Store. The application simply let users find the cheapest and safest car parks closest to their destination. The data provides 13,560 car parks with 1,817,864 spaces and allows you to compare costs, find car parks with disabled spaces and credit card payment, all at the touch of a iPhone screen.

Big Chip New Media Agency
With two in the bag, we relaxed. Drinks were drunk, ties were undone, we sat back and enjoyed the show. When the result for New Media Agency was announced we were agog. One of us returned from a break saying “What do you mean we’ve won another one?!” We rushed the stage before they changed their minds.

Little Chip Student Award
It was a real bonus when our StardotStudent won the Little Chip Student Award. Andreas Linden come to us us via our long-time friend Rachel Mozley from the University of Central Lancashire. We’re thrilled for them both that the placement worked out so well.

Andreas Swede

A few people mentioned that Andreas bore a striking similarity to the new Dr.Who? You decide.

Congratulations too…
Up here on the fourth floor of 47 Newton Street we’ve got some talented neighbours. We’ve always said Kilogramme should shout a bit more about their genuine animation talents. Kilogramme picked up the Anthony Wilson Original Modern Award and we can honestly say – the deserve it. If you ever want to bring an idea to life then do give them a call.

We were also very happy to see the talented ex-StardotStarlet Claire Miller from LightBox walk away with two, including the Grand Prix.
